Repair Kits Surfboard Guide & Review 2010

So many repair Surfboard Kits available today it can be a difficult decision to choose one that will be most effective for you. For beginner surfers, and then decide which you really need for your surfboard may be the biggest problem. We will go through the various repair kits Ding, what they do and what to use them on.

There are two main types of repair kits that are commonly used and they are fiberglass Repair kits and repair kits Epxoy. Depending on your board of directors depends on the package, you must repair.

Kits repair of fiberglass (type mostly used surfboards) - The advice of polyurethane foam

These types of boards Surfers are those mainly used, and are more likely to get struck, and are not as strong as epoxy surfboards, but are lighter and more generally manauverable.

For surfboards are made of polyurethane foam, you'll need a resin polyetser Ding Repair Kit. This type of resin is sensitive to temperature and when exposed to sunlight or the light will cure, or dry to harden the area. This is especially useful if you are looking for a quick fix and do not have time to use a repair kit complete. Most Products are listed as standard repair kits or repair kits resin.

You must ensure that the surfboard dried in the area you want to repair and advised her of sand from the area so its as smooth as possible when applying the resin. If you are unsure if the area is dry or there is still water in the council, be patient and let it dry a little longer.

You can either buy a resin into a tube that squirts just the dry region and most accomplished or a kit that comes with fiberglass cloth, sandpaper, resin, mixing bowl, hardener and sticks to the resin application. They are used for more serious Dings and dents on your surfboard. The fabric Fiberglass is used to strengthen the field of repair and when the resin and hardener is applied that it Drys and form a tight bond safer on your card. Epoxy Surfboards - EPS foam

These surfboards are much stronger than fiberglass surboards normal and have another type of foam in them. Therefore they need to be repaired with different resin called epoxy resin. The same process as above is applied as above with the preparation of the same region, DONT but the error of the resin to a resin on a board of polyster epoxy, and vice versa, will have disastrous consequences !!!... trust us.
